There are many websites that can make a QR code for you, but the free ones have ads, limited design tools, or just simply suck. So instead of paying for QR codes, just make it yourself using Google Chrome.

  1. Go to any website that you want to turn into a QR code.
  2. Click on the “share” button next to the URL and the star on top.

3. Press the “QR Code” button and download it.

4. Now you have a QR Code that points to your website. But there’s one small problem! It has a weird looking dinosaur in the middle.

We don’t need this dinosaur

5. Go to photopea.com and drag the dinosaur QR code onto the page to create a new project. This part may get a bit confusing for those who don’t have much experience with Photopea or PhotoShop.

6. Create a rectangle using the Rectangle Tool. It’s on the bottom of the toolbar on the left. Or you can press U on your keyboard.

The tool bar on the left. The Rectangle tool is on the bottom, it looks like a rectangle.

7. Change the Fill color from red to white. It’s located on the top left corner of the page.

Click the Fill dropdown button to change the color to white.

8. Click anywhere on the canvas to bring up the dialog box. Type in a width of 80 and a height of 100. This will perfectly cover the dinosaur.

Make sure to use 80x100

9. Press V on your keyboard or click on the Move tool on the top left of the toolbar. Click on the white rectangle you just created and drag it to the center of the image. It should automatically snap into place at the center.

10. Now drag and drop your custom logo onto the page and resize it so that it fits nicely inside the center white space. Move it to the center.

11. Move the logo layer up so that it’s on top of everything else.

12. Click on File -> Export As -> PNG. Now you have a custom QR code!
